Omkam is Berkeley Energy's origination partner in India.

Berkeley Energy has formed the Renewable Energy Asia Fund (REAF) to invest private equity for the acquisition, development, construction, operation and sale of a portfolio of renewable energy infrastructure assets in Asia with particular focus on India and the SE Asian Pacific Rim markets.

The Berkeley Energy team has been active in renewable energy since 1982, and includes two of the very few individuals globally with >20 years owner-operator experience of renewable energy. Cumulatively the team has delivered over 115 separate renewable energy assets and a further 50 energy assets. Berkeley Energy considers this deep experience of successfully identifying, costing, constructing and operating assets across technologies, countries and regulatory environments to be a critical competitive advantage and key value driver for REAF.
